Snapping happy for 60 years

NEWBURY Camera Club is celebrating 60 years of happy snapping this week with an exhibition at Desmoulin Gallery at the Wharf.
The club formed on February 1, 1945 and held its first meeting at the Tudor Café in Newbury.
Club chairman Richard Pike said: “Soon afterwards there were 64 members.
“Today there are 63 so if we keep going for another 60 years we'll probably have 62!”
The Desmoulin exhibition, which was put together with money from the Awards for All Lottery, runs until Sunday.
