THE SUSPICIOUS death of a 50-year-old man in Burghfield Common has left police baffled.
Adrian Daniels was rushed to Royal Berkshire Hospital after he was found lying unconscious in Thrush Close in the early hours of Wednesday morning (July 18).
Mr Daniels died 24 hours later.
A forensic post mortem examination suggests the Thrush Close resident died of head injuries and police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
The detective investigating the incident, Det Chief Inspector Peter Dowling, said: “I am keeping an open mind about the circumstances of Mr Daniels death but I am treating it as suspicious due to the initial findings of the post mortem.”
“If you saw or heard anything suspicious in the area around 12.45 in the morning of Wednesday 18 July, then please contact us immediately. If you have any other information that could help our inquiry then please call.”

If you have information contact Police on 0845 8 505 505, quoting URN 968 of 21 July.
If you do not wish to speak to the police, or give your name, you can contact the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
