Police appeal to catch garden thieves

policePolice are appealing for information following a series of thefts from gardens in West Berkshire.

One incident saw two large concrete toadstools stolen from a Cold Ash garden between September 13 and 23.

The toadstools are not painted and have the wording ‘DM and AM Miskin’ etched on them.

And staddle stones were stolen from a garden off Curridge Road, Curridge, between September 1 and September 14.

Three large staddle stones have also been stolen from a garden in Slanting Hill, Hermitage, between the September 14 and 19.

Police advise marking garden ornaments with a postcode and owner’s initial to help protect property.
