The laser was located in a room in the Tower House Hotel, where five people were subsequently arrested on suspicion of assault. A blue Fiat Punto was located in the hotel car park.
Those arrested included a 26-year-old man from Reading, a 20-year-old man from Reading, a 23-year-old man from Tilehurst, a 25-year-old man from Tilehurst and a 16-year-old girl from Reading have all been released on bail to return to Loddon Valley police station on November 18.
