STAFF from Newbury and Thatcham branches of Lloyds TSB recently carried out work at the Cottismore Garden Centre in Kingsclere to help West Berkshire Mencap. As part of Mencap’s Growing 4 All project, 10 members of staff took part in a team challenge and helped to create a path for wheelchair access in the garden and cleared a large bank ahead of future work. Business manager for Lloyds TSB, Gillian Ward, said: “It was fantastic to put some time back into the community. “To do that seems very valuable and it was definitely different to being in the office for a day.” “We got a lot out of it and we look forward to going back in the Spring to help create what will be a fantastic site.”
