THE westbound carriageway of the M4 was closed for about an hour last night (Thursday) after an articulated lorry caught fire.Emergency services were called to the M4, between junctions 13 and 14, at about 10pm, after receiving reports of a lorry on fire.Crews from Newbury attended and used three pumping appliances and a water bowser, among other equipment, to douse the fire, spending about two and a half hours at the scene.Police also attended and temporarily closed the westbound carriageway.It is understood that no one was injured in the incident.
