DISABILITY Information in West Berkshire (DiWB) re-launched its website in the Kennet Centre last week. The website, which has been up and running for four years, provides online information about disability. As part of this, the team were telling people about its brand new helpline service which is open for two hours every weekday. This will be operated by users of the Ormonde Resource Centre, which provides a base for adults with physical disabilities. West Berkshire Council has now taken over the funding of the site which use to be funded by some lottery funding. Web master Trevor Dobson said that the website was about focusing on people and services in West Berkshire. He said: "If people don't have a computer they can get a friendly voice on the helpline. "We think this is very exciting and we have put it together ourselves. "The idea of today is to raise people's awareness of the website. "Our success depends on as many people as possible using it. "Its a very easy to use website and its got lots of information on it." The helpline is open from 11am until 1pm on weekdays and can be contacted on (01635) 552064.
