Falkland lose basement battle

FALKLAND slipped another place nearer the bottom of Division Two of the Home Counties Premier League after being dismantled by visiting Great and Little Tew on Saturday.

The Oxfordshire side were one of two teams beneath Falkland in the table before the start, but they were soon on their way up the table after reducing the Enborne Lodge side to 38-5.

Ben Piper and Craig Williams brought some respectability to the scoreline with an eighth wicket stand of 74 until Williams fell for 30, leaving Piper to go on and be last man falling at 162 after he had made 73.
