Dunstable deadlock as lights go out at Thatcham

HUNGERFORD TOWN missed the chance to move into second place in the Southern League’s Premier Division when they were held to a goal-less draw by Dunstable Town at Bulpit Lane on Tuesday night.Dunstable hold that spot and started with purpose before Hungerford could harry them out of their stride and make the game’s best chances.

Lee Smith had an effort cleared off the line and James Pilling wasted a shooting chance, although Shane Hackett had a header hacked away from the Hungerford line before the break.

The nearest thing to breaking the deadlock came in the second period when Smith latched ...
