The Priory

Plans to convert The Priory into a community centre approved

THATCHAM is a step closer to having a community facility in the town centre after plans to convert The Priory were approved.

Thatcham Town Council submitted plans for the Grade-II listed building in Church Lane earlier this year, having purchased the building from West Berkshire Council for £400,000 in 2010.

The building, which is currently unused, will serve as a community facility as well as offices to house town council staff.
