AUTUMN scenes, captured through the lens of local people, have revealed stunning natural beauty in Newbury and beyond.

Despite the clocks going back an hour last weekend, and the onset of dark mornings and evenings, misty mornings and recent days filled with glorious low sun have highlighted seasonal autumn colours.

A line of mature trees in Western Avenue, Newbury, majestic above a ‘carpet’ of fallen brown and russet leaves and white swans gliding along a peaceful waterway in Thatcham have captured the imaginations of local walkers and inspired them to take a photograph.

Equally stunning were a local canal scene, misty morning in Cold Ash woods and Victoria Park, Newbury, pictured wearing its ‘autumn cloak’.
