A man and a woman from Hampshire have been arrested in connection with stealing fuel from a vehicle in Thatcham.

The vehicle was parked in Colthrop Lane when it had its diesel tank broken into and fuel extracted at around 11.44pm on Monday, May 11.

An alarm was activated and police arrested a 22-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man shortly afterwards on suspicion of burglary and theft.

They have been bailed until Tuesday, June 9.
