Pangbourne dog training business Happipup wins Prestige Award
A Pangbourne dog training business has been named puppy training service of the year in London and the South East by a business award organisation.
Happipup, ran by Sandra Emmons, was recognised for its outstanding customer service, innovative training programmes, positive reviews and for working with the local community.
Happipup was championed by the Prestige Awards, a body which recognises small and independent businesses that are successful and hard working on a local level.
Miss Emmons said: “I’m over the moon to have this recognition, especially as a new business. It was wonderful to be nominated by one of my clients.
“The judges said I was chosen because of my creative training programmes for puppies that help them to become sociable, confident and happy pups.
“One thing that stood out was that the training supports other local businesses, with the pups and their parents exploring what Pangbourne and other local villages have to offer.”
Miss Emmons started the business in 2018, and training dogs became her full-time profession last September when she decided to give up her role as a service director.
She runs a range of classes for pupil pooches, including grow your superstar dog, pet detectives and confidence building workshops. She also offers one-to-one training.

She said: “The last couple of years have seen so many families welcome a pup into their lives, and I’m passionate about supporting them as best I can so that they can enjoy life together.”
