Not one, not two, but three gold medal winners

A BURGHCLERE secondary school can boast not one, not two, but three young gold medal winners at international level.

The Clere School’s golden line-up comprises 11-year-old karate champion Lucas Spiers from Tadley, a black belt first Dan, who recently scooped two trophies at the 18th Wado International Karate-do Federation.

Fellow pupils, Holly Mills, aged 15, and Alicia Cox, aged 14, both from Hurstbourne Tarrant, have also brought gold medals back to their school.

Holly struck gold in the long jump at the National Schools Athletics Championships, while Alicia was recently crowned British Tumbling champion.
