French patisserie PAUL opens in Parkway

LIVE music, stilt acts and the smell of freshly baked croissants filled Newbury’s Parkway shopping centre yesterday as French patisserie Paul opened its doors.

Town mayor Jo Day marked the opening with the cutting of a ribbon at 11am, and a queue to sample the tasty treats on offer quickly formed.

The restaurant can seat up to 32 people with breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea available.

It is only the second bakery in the chain to be opened outside of London in the UK.

Paul curently has 30 branches in the capital.
