Royal Berkshire Hospital Trust gears up for elections
Elections are to begin next month to fill nine posts for the council of governors at Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.
The election, which is postal-only, will be officially launched on Thursday for the constituencies of Reading, East and West Berkshire, Wokingham and South Oxfordshire, and the deadline for completed forms must be returned by Tuesday, May 5.
If there is more than one candidate nominated a further vote will be held on May 27, with the winner to be decided by June 22.
The council of governors holds the board to account and represents the community, stakeholders and the 23,000 members of the trust. It is responsible for appointing the chairman, non-executive directors and auditors.
