Narrow lanes, a contraflow, overnight lane closures and a 50mph speed limit are now in place between Chieveley and Hungerford on the M4, and will remain until July.

It will allow for essential bridge repair and maintenance work to be conducted by the Highways Agency.

The eastbound carriageway between junction 13 (Chieveley) and junction 14 (Hungerford) will be closed overnight from 10pm and 6 each weekday until Friday, June 5.

A lane closure will also be in place in both directions between M4 junctions 14 (Hungerford) and 15 (Swindon) for drainage and verge repair between 9pm and 6am, Monday to Friday, until Friday, June 12.
