A WOMAN was injured after two men attempted to rob her near Newbury Retail Park. 

The 37-year-old was walking near the crossing leading to the Tesco car park in Pinchington Lane just after 11pm on Sunday, May 17 when she was approached from behind.

Her assailant pulled the rucksack on her back, causing the woman to fall and injure her hand and shoulder.

She said that she saw two people, believed to be 6ft tall men, running towards Pigeons Farm Road.

They were wearing hooded tops, blue jeans and black trainers, one of which had a white logo.

No items were stolen during the incident and the woman did not require hospital treatment.

Police would like to speak to the driver of a vehicle who may have witnessed the incident.
