Fire crews are currently attending an incident at a domestic residence at Old Newtown Road.

Two fire engines were initially called to the incident, which is still ongoing, at 10.46am this morning (Wednesday).

A third engine was later called to the scene but was not needed according to Ellie Gray of the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service.

She said that all persons had been accounted for at the building but that they had not received a stop message – indicating the incident was still ongoing.

Catherine Morrow of the South Central Ambulance Service said that they were informed of reports of a fire but their resources weren't required and there were no injuries at the scene.

Police are currently attending.
