Hampshire police faces backlash after car crash "game" Tweet

Hampshire police has been accused of making a game out of a serious car accident after the force tweeted an image and asked users to guess the type of car.
The Twitter account for the Roads Policing Unit for Hampshire and the Isle of Wight Tweeted today (Friday, pictured): “From one of our jobs yesterday…what car is this?
“Retweet for a Hyundai i20 or favourite for a Vauxhall Corsa.”
The post, which shows a collision which happened in Southampton, faced a backlash from Twitter users who responded angrily at the apparent “game”.
One user, Rach, said “is this tweet really appropriate?” and another, Ian Taylor, said “not appropriate in the slightest. Absolutely moronic.”
The police force later tweeted in response to the reaction, writing: “Getting some negative replies to crashed car tweet. We were simply trying to show the impact of a crash. We didn’t mean to offend.
“The driver was not injured in this incident. We were trying to highlight how much a car can be damaged in a crash.”
