Driver's lucky escape after car flips on A34

A driver had a lucky escape yesterday (Thurs) evening, after a car flipped on the A34 between Chieveley and west Ilsley.

A crew from Newbury fire station were called at 8pm to the A34 northbound, after a small car left the road and overturned.

No-one was trapped and firefighters left the scene after 20 minutes.

One lane of the A34 was closed during the incident, with ambulance and police services also at the scene.
