Newbury MG Club get into Newbury's Race for Life gear

Newbury MG Club members are getting into gear to take part in Newbury's Race for Life on Sunday (Jul 5).

The club's women members have entered a team in this year’s Race for Life, joining the famous 'pink army' of woman entered in the race, at Newbury showground, in Hermitage.

"This is very much a new venture for a car club, we don’t generally do running, so our team of 11 ladies have decided to take part and walk the 5k route, one very fit lady will peel off and run the 10k route," said Eileen Gilbert, a spokesperson for the club, who continued:

"They are all planning to raise money for Cancer Research UK, as some of our friends have been affected by this disease."

The club hopes to support the runners with a gleaming display of classic MG's on the day, parking space permitting.

Anyone interested in joining the Newbury MG Club, new members welcome,  should contact Roger Boys email rogervew91@gmail.com.
