A blazing car discovered in a Chaddleworth field yesterday (Thurs) evening was put down to a suspected arson.

One fire engine was called at 9.20pm from Newbury Fire Station to School Hill, where a blazing Subaru Impreza was found in the middle of a field.

Firefighters used back packs filled with water to extinguish the fire, before leaving the scene after half an hour.
