POLICE are appealing for witnesses after Asian gold jewellery was stolen from a home in Newbury.

At around 7pm on Saturday October 3, a householder returned to their home in Coral Gardens to find someone in the property.

A security chain had been put on the front door and they could see a light on in the bathroom.

Rear windows had been forced and the back door left wide open.

The house was searched and items of Asian gold jewellery were taken.
