A WOMAN was cut out of a van after it turned on its side in Pangbourne this morning (Monday).

Two fire engines, from Dee Road, Tilehurst and Whitely Wood fire stations were called at 11.30am to Gardeners Lane, to a two-vehicle collision involving a Land Rover and van.

The van was discovered on its side and firefighters stabilsed the vehicle, before cutting the windscreen out and removing the woman through the window frame.

The woman was treated at the scene by paramedics.

South Central Ambulance Service (SCAS) were called at 11.33am, but stood down en route, after minor injuries were confirmed.

The road was closed during the incident.

Firefighters left the scene at 12.45pm
