Newbury Weekly News First Class supplement out tomorrow!

More than 1,000 children snapped for free supplement with tomorrow's paper

Newbury Weekly News First Class supplement out tomorrow!

ELEVEN years ago, in 2004, the Newbury Weekly News produced a First Class supplement, featuring year reception classes from around 25 schools in the area, capturing the moment when your little ones first start their school lives.

It proved so popular that the paper has been printing one every year ever since, and each year more schools ask to be included.

Over the last few weeks, the Newbury Weekly News photographers have been busy visiting 71 schools across West Berkshire, Hampshire and Wiltshire to take pictures of this year’s school starters.

There are more than 1,000 children featured in the 24-page supplement, which is free with this week’s newspaper.

Children from across Newbury, Thatcham and Hungerford, as well as at the smaller village schools, all put on their best smiles to give parents and families a lasting memento of the beginning of their school journey.

And there are details inside the supplement of how to order the pictures as keepsakes or to give to grandparents and other relatives.
