Cyclist taken to hospital after Headley attack

A MAN has been taken to hospital after an attack on a cyclist in Headley, involving two men.

According to Hampshire Constabulary, the attack happened sometime between 4.30pm and 5.20pm on Saturday, (October 24), involving a 61 year old cyclist on the A339 close to the Darling Buds of May Nursery.

The man was attacked by two men who got out of a dark coloured saloon car, similar to a Mondeo, which was parked in a lay-by.

One man had ginger hair, the other blonde, both described as about 5ft 8ins.

The men then ran back to their vehicle and fled the scene.

The victim was taken to hospital with minor injuries, cuts and bruises.

Hampshire Constabulary have appealed for information. Anyone who saw the incident should telephone the non emergency number, 101 quoting the reference 44150370340.
