A Thatcham road was closed this morning (Thursday) following an accident and fuel spillage.

Police were called to Harts Hill Road, leading from Thatcham to Bucklebury, just after 8am following reports of a single vehicle collision.

A spokeswoman for Thames Valley Police, Hannah Williams, said that a woman was injured but her injuries did not appear to be fatal or life threatening.

The road was closed between the junctions of Floral Way and Burdens Heath while the fuel was cleared up.

The road is now open.
