A Thatcham man has been arrested following an assault in a Newbury pub. 

A 23-year-old man was punched in the face at the Snooty Fox, Bartholomew Street, at around 5am on Saturday, October 31.

A member of staff was also assaulted. 

The assailant is described as 5ft 10ins tall, aged in his 20s or early 30s, with short black hair and stubble.

A 30-year-old man from Thatcham has been arrested on suspicion of assault with injury and has been bailed until Saturday, December 12.
