A motorcyclist had a lucky escape after a fuel spill ignited at the Waitrose roundabout in Newbury this afternoon (Sun).

One pump was called at 4.30pm to the roundabout, off the Oxford Road, where a motorcyclist had dropped his bike after circling the roundabout and a small amount of spilt fuel ignited.

The fire was out on arrival, with two motorcyclists stood beside their motorbikes at the side of the road.

Police were also at the scene.

Firefighters left at 4.35pm
