Small barn fire in East Garston extinguished

Firefighters were called to a barn fire in East Garston yesterday (Tues) evening.

Three pumps, one from Lambourn, and two from Newbury, were called at 6.15pm to a barn off Newbury Road.

On arrival firefighters discovered a small pile of wooden posts on fire.

One fire engine then remained at the scene to deal with the incident.

The fire was extinguished with a hosereel.

The cause was not suspicious.

Firefighters left the scene at around 7.15pm
