THE anticipation and excitement is building at Newbury Racecourse with the Hennessy Gold Cup less than half an hour away.

The Newbury Weekly News has been here all afternoon, along with a crowd of around 18,000.

It has already been a thrilling day of racing, with Lambourn trainer Warren Greatrex winning the 1.15pm after Aloomomo romped home.

Fellow Lambourn trainer Nicky Henderson will be hoping to emulate that as he sends out 8/1 shot Bob's Worth.

The favourite for the Hennessy is currently the Paul Nicholls trained Saphir Du Rheu at 4/1.
