Traffic - Phil Cannings

HEAVY traffic was reported locally in this morning's (Tues) rush hour, after a car transporter overturned on the M4 at Reading yesterday evening.

A Highways England spokesman today confirmed the incident, at 7.15pm yesterday (Mon), when a car transporter travelling on the M4 eastbound left the carriageway.

He said: ““It was carrying about 8 cars and the driver was unhurt, and there were no other injuries."

The hard shoulder and lane 1 was closed throughout Monday evening.

The motorway was fully re-opened at 6.30am on Tuesday morning.
