A BRIMPTON kitchen fire which broke out this afternoon (Thursday) is under investigation.

Two pumps from Newbury Fire Station were called at 3.45pm to a property in Banister Place.

No-one was hurt.

A firefighter wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using a hosereel.

Minor damage was caused to the kitchen.

Firefighters left the scene at 4.45pm.

The cause is under investigation by the Royal Berkshire Fire and Rescue Service (RBFRS).
