Firefighters activated to reports of gas smell

FIREFIGHTERS were called to reports of a smell of gas at a property in Newbury’s Market place this morning (Wednesday).

One pump from Newbury Fire Station was called at 8.15am to Imperial Court, Market Street.

Firefighters isolated the gas supply and alerted gas engineers before leaving the scene at 8.37am.
