Suspected illegal immigrants have been detained in Woolhampton.

Thames Valley Police swooped on the village this morning after a number of people were seen getting out of a truck.

One resident said that officers were stationed along the A4 and that she had seen riot vans coming and going throughout the last hour.

A police helicopter was also dispatched to locate the suspected immigrants.

She said that a lot of people had been arrested.
