Cockatiel lost in winter storm

LOCAL householders are urged to keep a look out for a lost cockatiel.

Parker (pictured) is an eight year old male cockatiel, who was startled by a power cut on the evening of Feb 6 and accidentally flew out the door, in Pound Street, Newbury.

He is not hand tame so the owner advises please telephone her, if sighted, or found.

"Please check gardens, nooks and crannies for this little bird as he may have crash landed due to the strong winds," said his owner.

Will not survive long in this harsh weather.

His mate Lady Penelope, is refusing to eat and we're all really worried about him."

If found/spotted, please contact Donna Taylor, telephone 07760 462 875. Reward offered.

Thank you so much for posting this, it means so much to us. He is a beloved family member and we desperately want to be reunited with him. Although he's not hand tame (he's terrified of hands - previously the pair were rescue birds), he loves being close to us even if we can't pick him up. missing his wolf Whistles and Star Wars Imperial March tune. Hoping to get the word out on him as much as possible due to the horrible weather conditions. desperately need people to check their gardens even if no where near pound Street as he's a good flyer and may have been swept along on the strong wind as well. please share on social media and anywhere else to raise his chances of survival,as his survival really does depend on as many people as possible noticing our ads and looking for him in their gardens and anywhere a little bird (potentially injured in the strong winds) might be desperately seeking shelter. He's very timid and probably can't compete with other birds food.
