Newbury College open day today (Wednesday)

Newbury College will showcase its state-of-the-art facilities today (Wednesday), giving parents and prospective students a chance to see exactly what the college has to offer.

The college’s first open evening of the year will be on Wednesday, February 10, from 4pm to 8pm giving anyone looking to study for a vocational course, GCSEs or A-levels, or start an HE qualification the opportunity to find out which course suits them best.

The open evening will showcase the college courses, with visitors having the opportunity to speak to subject specialists and take part in interactive activities, ranging from free manicures and hair styling, to visiting the animals in the Animal Care Unit and taking part in mini science experiments in the lab running at 5.15pm, 6.15pm and 7.15pm.

Current students will also be on hand on the night to discuss their experiences with the college and to take visitors on tours of the facilities.

For those interested in an apprenticeship there will be talks explaining the benefits of on-the-job training, at 5pm, 6pm and 7pm, while those interested in working at the college can discover the opportunities available in recruitment sessions running at 5.30pm and 6.30pm.
