THATCHAM'S Spurcroft Primary School is set to reopen tomorrow.

Children were sent home today due to a power failure.

A spokesman for West Berkshire Council, Martin Dunscombe, said engineers have visited the site and discovered an 'electrical component had failed'.

Power has now been restored and investigations are ongoing as to how the fault occured.

Mr Dunscombe said that contractors were working on the site over the weekend, but could not confirm whether this was the cause.
