Witnesses to an assault and an incident of criminal damage in Newbury are being sought. 

The assault took place in Northbrook Street at around 3am on Sunday, April 10.

Police have not provided further information on the assault but want to speak to the occupants of a dark coloured Vauxhall Vectra in the area at the time as they may have valuable information.

Witnesses should call 101 quoting reference number 43160098012.

An incident of criminal damage was also reported in the town on the same night.

A black Renault Megane was damaged in Redfield Court at around 2.50am.
