Pets at Home, Newbury celebrate 25th anniversary

PETS at Home are marking 25 years in business this spring with free workshops and party fun for children, until Sunday.

The pet supply retailer, with a branch off the junction of Faraday Road and London Road in Newbury, is celebrating a quarter of a century by hosting a number of small furries and scales and fins party workshops every Saturday and Sunday.

The parties offer children chance to meet small animals, while in-store experts will teach them about the importance of responsible pet ownership.

Children can also join in a number of party games, including pin-the-tail on the pet pal, pet impression games, pass the pet parcel and more.

Partygoers can make their own pet mask and will also be entered into a prize draw, with a chance to win a fish tank or a small animal hutch.

Pets at Home Newbury store manager, Michael Notman, said: “Here at Pets at Home, we’re thrilled to be celebrating our 25th birthday this year.

“So what better way to celebrate by bringing the kids into store to get involved with our free birthday kid’s workshops?”
