AFTER months of heated debate and impassioned pleas to voters the countdown is on for the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to decide Britain’s future relationship with the EU.

In less than six hours polling stations across the country will close and by 8am tomorrow, we'll know whether Britain will remain a member of the European Union, or leave.

NewburyToday will be at the West Berkshire Council count at Newbury College, with the result expected at around 3.30am.

And throughout the night, we will be running a live blog, bringing you all the latest news and reaction from the historic referendum, both locally and nationally.

Also, don't forget to keep checking our Twitter account @NewburyToday and our Facebook page for updates.

How are you spending the night, ignoring the referendum with a pillow over your head, or getting the pizzas in and staying up through the night?

To let us know what you're doing, email reporters dan.cooper@newburynews.co.uk and chris.ord@newburynews.co.uk or tweet to @NewburyToday or post on our Facebook page.
