Race for Life attracts thousands

Some ran for lost loved ones; some ran for those battling cancer - and some just ran to raise research cash.

But whatever their motivation, thousands of women and their supportive families packed Newbury Showground on Sunday, July 3, for Race For Life 2016.

With both a 5k and a 10k race there was something to match all ages and abilities as some ran and some walked round the course.

The was a party atmosphere in the sunshine - and the end result will be a massive shot in the arm for cancer research.
