POLICE have arrested a teenage girl following a serious assault on a woman in Lambourn.

Just before 6am on Sunday, July 17, a 20-year-old woman was reportedly attacked in a caravan off the High Street and repeatedly punched.

Police said the complainant managed to leave the caravan and went in to the street – but the attacked allegedly continued.

The woman was subsequently taken to North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke for treatment to injuries to her face and eyes.

Detectives are now appealing for witnesses to the incident and anyone with a ny information is asked to contact the 24-hour Thames Valley Police enquiry centre on 101.
