A34 closed northbound after serious collision

A SERIOUS collision has closed the A34 in both directions between Chieveley and West Ilsley.

Police say the northbound carriageway is likely to be shut 'for a significant amount of time' and are advising motorists to find alternative routes.

The southbound carriageway in the same area is closed while an air ambulance attends the scene.

Further updates will be issued once they are available.
