A BODY has been found inside a property in Newbury.

Police were called to a ‘fear for welfare incident’ at a house in Windsor Court at 10.45am this morning and after searching the building discovered a dead man.

The man’s death is currently being treated as unexplained and a post-mortem examination to establish the cause will be carried out in due course.

Two police officers were standing outside the property at 1pm as forensic teams searched inside.

When you are giving the Plod a hard time remember some officer went in and dealt with that. Then another would have to speak to the next of kin. So when you are stopped for no seatbelt or using your phone while driving, it could be that same officer avoiding having to tell your next of kin you won't be home.
