POLICE are appealing for witnesses after two thefts in Newbury.

In Strawberry Hill, between 6pm on Saturday, September 17 and 7pm on Monday, September 19, offender(s) smashed the driver’s rear window on a blue Mazda 3 and stole an HP laptop.

Anyone with information about this incident should contact the 24-hour police enquiry centre on 101, quoting reference number 43160260990.

In a separate incident on Old Newtown Road, between midnight on Thursday, September 15 and midnight on Friday, September 16, offender(s) stole a child’s ‘scuttle bug’ from a front garden.
