THE A34 at East Ilsley southbound is partially blocked, in the run up to the Friday evening rush hour, due to a broken down crane.

According to Highways England, the crane has broken down just before the entry slip road at East Ilsley on the southbound A34.

The crane broke down in lane one and that lane is closed.

Hydraulic fluid is also leaking from the crane.

Recovery vehicles are on scene as are a gritter and sweeper to clean the carriageway once it is cleared.

Congestion is currently (4.10pm Friday) almost back to Milton junction, also according to Highways England.
