Turnpike motorbike blaze suspected arson

A MOTORBIKE blaze in the Turnpike area last night (Thurs) was put down to a suspected arson.

Two pumps from Newbury Fire Station were called at 8pm to Oakley Road, where a motorbike was found on fire at a block of garages.

One firefighter wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the blaze using a hosereel.

Firefighters left the scene after half an hour.
