Major pub refurbishment enters final stage

THE final phase of a multi-million pound refurbishment of the Swan at Streatley is now underway.

The hotel says that the investment will restore it to its former glory and make the most of its location.

Plans include a total redesign of the restaurant and bar area, as well as an entirely new, contemporary meeting and events space and wedding venue overlooking the river.

The restaurant is currently closed while this work is being carried out.

The last phase of the renovations of the bedrooms will also be completed and will feature the hotel’s most luxurious rooms, which it says will be sympathetic to the listed building’s heritage.

While the restaurant is now closed, accommodation is available, on a room-only basis, in the recently renovated rooms.

The gym, spa, treatment rooms and Boat House Deli & Café remain fully open for business as usual.

A statement on the Swan at Streatley’s website read: “We’re really excited about this final stage and would like to thank everybody for their support and patience so far.

“We will keep you updated on our progress.

“We’re confident that it will be worth the wait.”
