A THATCHAM man has been caught drink-driving.

Sixty-three-year-old Peter Ratcliffe, of Henwick, admitted driving a black Audi A7 on the Bath Road in Newbury on October 14 after drinking more than the legal limit.

Tests showed 56mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath in his system. The legal limit is 35mcg.

On Monday, November 14, Reading magistrates banned him from driving for 14 months.

Mr Ratcliffe was also fined £120 and ordered to pay £85 costs plus a statutory victim services surcharge of £30.
